Description:

IPA made from rice solids and syrup, and sorghum syrup.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lbs Brown Rice Solids [Boil for 60 min] (2.0 SRM)
  • 3 lbs Brown Rice Syrup [Boil for 60 min] (2.0 SRM)
  • 3 lbs Sorghum Liquid Extract - Briess [Boil for 60 min] (1.5 SRM)
  • 1.0 oz Falconer's Flight 7C's [9.9%] - Boil 60 min
  • 4.00 oz Malto-Dextrine (Boil 60 min)
  • 1 lbs Candi Syrup, Amber D-45 [Boil for 15 min] (45.0 SRM)
  • 0.50 Whirlfloc Tablet (Boil 15 min)
  • 0.50 tsp Yeast Nutrient (Boil 15 min)
  • 1.0 oz Horizon [11.2%] - Boil 10 min
  • 1.0 oz Falconer's Flight 7C's [9.9%] - Boil 5 min
  • 2 pkgs SafBrew Ale (DCL/Fermentis #S-33)
  • 1.0 oz Horizon [11.2%] - Dry Hop 0 days

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 7 days at 68 degrees
Secondary Ferment: 7 days at 68 degrees

Procedure:

Bring waterto boil, and primary fermentable sugars, return to boil and achieve hot break.

Add hops and remaining fermentable sugars according to schedule.

Chill wort until appropriate temperature to pitch yeast.

Dry hop after racking to secondary.
