Description:

All grain amber made from malted and toasted buckwheat

Ingredients:

  • 14 lbs Malted Buckwheat (mash/sparge)
  • 2 lbs Toasted Red Buckwheat 40-60L (mash/sparge)
  • 8 oz Toasted Black Buckwheat 500L (mash/sparge)
  • 2 oz Northern Brewer Hops (60 min)
  • 0.5 oz Northern Brewer Hops (5 min)
  • 1 pkg Safale S-04 Dry Yeast

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 21 days at 68 - 70 degrees

Procedure:

Perform a Single Infusion Mash at 163.4 F for 90 to 120 minutes; or Step Mash at 155-165F for 90 to 120 minutes followed by 140-150F for 90 to 120 minutes with SEBAmyl BAL 100 or Termamyl, and SEBAmyl L enzymes. Use the appropriate amount of rice hulls to ensure circulation and filtration.

Allow to achieve hot break and maintain rolling boil.

2 oz Northern Brewer Hops (60 min)
0.5 oz Northern Brewer Hops (5 min)
1 pkg Safale S-04 Dry Yeast

Chill wort until appropriate temperature to pitch yeast.
